The highly anticipated Fever-Tree Gin and Tonic Festival is hitting the Sunshine State this April. The inaugural Brisbane Fever-Tree Gin and Tonic Festival will take place from Thursday, 28 April to Sunday, 1 May and is set to be an unmissable four-day celebration of the much-loved gin and tonic.

After postponements due to Covid-19 in 2021, the first of its kind Brisbane Festival will be held in partnership with the iconic Howard Smith Wharves (HSW) and will offer G&T lovers the opportunity to explore the ever-evolving world of gin and tonic in the picturesque HSW precinct beneath the iconic Story Bridge.

The Covid-safe experience will offer three-hour immersive sessions throughout the weekend with 18 local and international gin distillers on board to highlight the very best in gin that Queensland (and Australia) has to offer, paired with the world’s finest tonics from Fever-Tree premium mixers.

Parking

If you plan to drive to the Fever-Tree Gin and Tonic Festival, on-site parking is available at Secure Parking for 359 vehicles. FAQs

Do I need to be vaccinated or check in to attend the festival?

The Public Health and Social Measure linked to vaccination Direction was revoked on 14 April 2022, ending the requirement to check-in and to be fully vaccinated in a range of venues and events.

Venues include pubs, clubs, cafes and restaurants; theme parks, casinos and cinemas; weddings; showgrounds; and galleries, libraries, museums and stadiums.

This is a further reflection of the easing of public health restrictions in Queensland

Vaccination and check-in requirements will continue for anyone visiting or working in vulnerable settings (hospitals, disability accommodation services and residential aged care) as well as for workers in high-risk settings including schools, childcare, prisons and airports.

Is this event COVID safe?

Your safety is important to us. This event has been planned in line with the QLD Health directives. Our event includes COVIDSafe cleaning practices, hand sanitizing stations and practices social distancing.

What can I bring?

Photo ID (required to drink your Fever-Tree G&T’s!), picnic rugs, point and shoot cameras, insect repellent, sun protection, umbrella or raincoat if it looks like rain, Eftpos card, credit card, happy vibes.

What should I leave at home?

The following items will not be allowed within the festival: Drinks of any kind (sealed or empty water bottles excepted), food, pets (other than assistance animals), tents, eskies, alcohol or drugs, video or professional recording and photography equipment, drones, skateboards, rollerblades, rollershoes, frisbees, weapons (including pocket knives), fireworks and anything else flammable, dangerous or dubious items and bad attitudes.

Can I bring my children?

Children 17 years and under are admitted free with a Child ticket. Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

While we understand that depending on circumstances you may need your child to accompany you through the gin village, we have also catered for kids on the main lawn with garden games, swings and activities. Why not take turns with your partner or friends; while one has some time out sampling at the gin village, the other relaxes with a G&T at the Fever-Tree Main Bar on the lawn while enjoying the various bands and entertainment and watching the kids play.

Weather

Rain, hail or shine the show must go on. We recommend bringing hats, sunscreen, umbrellas, jackets and ponchos – G&T’s in the rain are fun when you have weather protection.

Is the site accessible for people with restricted mobility?

Yes, the site is fully accessible. We encourage people with special needs to get in touch with us prior to the event so we can provide any information required at info@fevertreegandtfestival.com.au.

What happens with any photos or videos that might be taken of me whilst I am at the event?

We may have a professional photographer or videographer at the event. If this is the case there will be signs in the venue advising you of this. Photographs and video footage taken at the event may be used in future for promotional purposes.

Conditions of entry?

Any prohibited items will be confiscated. People under 18 will not be served alcohol.

WILL TICKETS BE AVAILABLE AT THE GATE?

If a session is not sold out we will be selling tickets on the day, but all tickets must be purchased digitally via the website.

Are there any pass outs once I am inside?

Yes. Wristbands will be issued specifically for your session time which will allow you to wander, enter and exit both the festival tasting areas within this designated time only.

How can I make my purchases inside the festival and what can I buy?

Cards will be accepted throughout the venue. In line with COVID safety standards, the festival is a cashless event. Available for purchase via Eftpos: Fever-Tree Gin & Tonics, sealed bottles of gin from the distillers and food.

How do I use the tokens I receive?

You will receive 6 tokens upon check-in to redeem at any of the gin distillers at the Gin Village. Each token is good for 1 mini Fever-Tree G&T. This will give you an opportunity to sample your favourite tonics with your favourite gins!

IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET A REFUND?

No, sorry. Once the ticket sale is processed the purchase is final. Refunds will only be offered to patrons if the event is canceled due to extreme weather or force majeure.

Fever-Tree Gin & Tonic Festival Terms and Conditions:

Ticket purchase and entry to The Fever-Tree & Howard Smith Wharves Gin and Tonic Festival 2021 (“event”) are subject to the following conditions. The term “event” within these conditions includes reference to the area set aside for The Fever-Tree & Howard Smith Wharves Gin and Tonic Festival 2021 and any and all of the activities that take place in that area. “Entrant” includes a person who has entered the event. “Ticketholder” means any person who has purchased a ticket to the event whether they are an Entrant or not. The event organiser is Fever-Tree Australia Pty Ltd (“The Organiser”).

The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to or eject from the event any person who does not comply with any of these conditions.

Admission

The Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission to any person, including any person holding a valid ticket, for reasonable cause, without notice.

Entrants must comply with all directions given by The Organiser, including any directions to leave the event.

Change of Program

The Organiser reserves the right to add, withdraw or substitute artists, attractions and amenities and to vary programs, seating arrangements, and audience capacity of the event.

Searches

Entrant’s belongings may be searched on entry to the event, or during the event. Entrants consent to such searches. Entrants may be required to leave the event if they refuse a request to have their belongings searched, and will not be refunded or otherwise compensated .

Footwear

Entrants must wear footwear while at the event.

Items Not Permitted

  1. Entrants must not bring food to the event. Food items that are found during a search, or at any time during the event, will be confiscated. The Organiser accepts no responsibility for confiscated items.
  2. Entrants may not bring in alcohol, illegal drugs and controlled substances, weapons or other items deemed dangerous by The Organiser to the event.
  3. Entrants must not bring their own seating (including camping chairs) to the event.

Animals

  1. Entrants may not bring animals to the event, except disability assistance animals, such as guide dogs, hearing dogs, and other animals trained to assist the Entrant with a disability.
  2. All disability assistance animals must be on a lead at all times while at the event. An Entrant with a disability assistance animal may be liable for any injury, loss, or damage caused by the animal at the event.

Recording, Transmission and Exhibition

  1. Entrants agree not to record or transmit, or aid in recording or transmitting, any description, account, picture, or reproduction of the event other than for private non-commercial purposes.
  2. Entrants grant permission to The Organiser to use their name, image, likeness, or statements in any live or recorded audio, video, or photographic display or other transmission, exhibition, publication or reproduction made of, or at the event without further authorisation from, or compensation to the Entrant.

Offensive Behaviour

Entrants will not conduct themselves in a manner that is inappropriate, offensive to others, or illegal. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to or eject a person who conducts themselves in such a manner.

Alcohol and Drugs

  1. The event is licensed to provide alcohol. Entrants must not bring alcohol in to the event.
  2. Alcohol may be consumed in a permitted area of the event (“the permitted area”). Entrants must not consume alcohol in areas other than the permitted area. The permitted area will be signed appropriately.
  3. Entrants who are under 18 years of age (“minors”) will only be permitted entry to the permitted area if accompanied by a responsible adult who is responsible for the care and supervision of the minor whilst in the permitted area.
  4. An Entrant who is 18 years or over may be given on entry to the event a wrist band to identify that they are permitted to drink alcohol at the event. Any person wishing to drink alcohol at the event may be required to provide a driver’s licence, current passport or proof of age card.
  5. Any minor found drinking alcohol may, in The Organiser’s sole discretion, be refused entry to or ejected from the event.
  6. Any person supplying alcohol to a minor or any person deemed to be assisting or contributing to the supply of alcohol to a minor may, in The Organiser’s sole discretion, be refused entry to or ejected from the event.
  7. Any person who is deemed to be adversely affected by the consumption of alcohol or affected by the consumption of drugs may, in The Organiser’s sole discretion, be refused entry to or ejected from the event.
  8. Any person who is deemed to be unduly intoxicated or disorderly will, in Festival’s sole discretion, not be sold any alcohol or provided with alcohol for consumption and may, in The Organiser’s sole discretion, be refused entry to or ejected from the event.
  9. Full size Gin & Tonics cannot be purchased by the glass from exhibitors for consumption at the event. Tastings of 50ml samples are permitted to be served by exhibitors. Full size Gin & Tonics can be purchased at the main bars at the Event. The purchase of bottles of gins may not be opened within the permitted areas and are only available to pick up on exit from the Event at the bottle shop.

Smoking

Entrants may only smoke in a Designated Smoking Area that has signs indicating that smoking is permitted in that designated area.

Acceptance of Risk and Limitation of Liability

Persons purchasing tickets or entering the event do so at their own risk. Entrants and ticket holders assume all risks associated with and incidental to the event, whether before, during or after the event. The risks assumed by Entrants and ticket holders include any risks caused by The Organiser in ensuring compliance with the Conditions of Sale of Tickets and Entry. Entrants and ticket holders waive any claims for personal injury or death against Council on behalf of Entrants and any accompanying minor.

Ticketing and Non Refund Policy.

Tickets are sold on the condition that purchasers are not entitled to a refund or exchange of their ticket in any circumstances. This non-refund policy applies in circumstances including, for example:

  1. If you choose not to attend the event.
  2. If you are unable to attend the event for any reason, including illness.
  3. If you attend the event and are unsatisfied.
  4. If the program of the event is changed, or any parts of the event.
  5. If any part, or all, of the event is cancelled due to weather or on any reasonable basis, or any cause outside the control of The Organiser.
  6. If you lose your ticket or do not bring your ticket to the event.
  7. If you are refused entry or ejected for any reason in accordance with the Conditions of Sale of Tickets and Entry.

In the event of cancellation of any part of or the entire event The Organiser is not liable to arrange a substitute event or to provide compensation.

Persons for whom a ticket is being purchased must be present when purchasing tickets from the gate.

You are entitled to give or sell your ticket to someone else, if you wish.

The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to any person producing a duplicated or altered ticket.

Ticket Refund Policy

Entrants maybe able to claim a refund on their ticket purchase including any booking fees applicable should The Organiser decide to cancel the event due to adverse weather, acts of god, terrorism or in the view of The Organiser, the festival can’t continue due to health and safety hazards.

In this instance, The Organiser, will send an email outlining the reasons for cancellation and the process by which you are entitled to claim a refund.

COVID-19 Cancellation

Should the event be cancelled due to a COVID-19 outbreak, Fever-Tree will refund your ticket within 30 days from Friday 6/5/22.

Pass-outs

Wristbands will be issued specifically for your session time which will allow the entrant to wander, enter and exit both the festival tasting areas within this designated time only.

Children

All children aged 18 and under must be accompanied by a responsible parent or legal guardian at any Festival event.

Variations

The Organiser accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value or content of the Festival program from June 2021.
